In traditional Hawaiian massage, often called "Lomilomi", we use our palms, fingers, knuckles, elbows, knees, feet, and even implements like local stones. Lomilomi practices vary by lineage, region, and amongst islands. In ancient Hawaii lomilomi was used as a healing practice of native healers,

as an aid to digestion, and as a massage for restoration and spiritual rejuvenation. In Hawaii, now as always, Lomilomi is conducted with prayer and intention.
